DEKALB, Ill. - Billy G. Wootton, Jr., 63, Cortland, Illinois, died unexpectedly of heart complications Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago.

He was the son of the late Billy G. Wootton Sr. and Jessie (Aldridge) survives.

Bill served in the U.S. Army Military Police. He lived a fulfilling life as a husband of 40 years to Kathleen (Burandt) Wootton. Also surviving are four children: Lindsay (Shawn) Hook, Ashley (Daniel) Davis, Samantha and Adam Wootton; grandchildren: Isaac, Charles, Andrew, Bentley, Teddy, Ella and grandchild seven due in March; brother, Steven (Lynn) Wootton; and Judy (Gary) Wootton McKee, Patricia Wootton, Earve (Carla) Aldridge Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Finch Funeral Home, 310 Oak S., DeKalb, Illinois. Family and friends to gather at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 for Funeral Mass, St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 Pine St., DeKalb. Graveside service with Military Tribute following Mass at Fairview Park Cemetery.
