Two area residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:17 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, on Highway 60, one-quarter mile east of Morehouse.

According to the report, Regina L. Riggins, 57, of East Prairie was operating a southbound 2011 Ford Edge, which was crossing the road when it was struck in the passenger side by a 2013 Chrysler 300 being drive eastbound by Jasime M. Dering, 20, of Wappapello.

Riggins suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Dering’s passenger, Michael E. Foster, 27, of Dexter suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County at Dexter for treatment.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Robert Eugene Cookson, 49, of the 8900 block of Highway T was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 15, on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Darin Keith Pullum, 40, of Bloomfield was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Oct. 15, on a warrant for second-degree domestic assault.

Bryce Hugh Huffman of the 3600 block of Wilcox Road reported a Taurus 9mm handgun, along with two magazines and a holster, had been stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his residence between 3 p.m. Oct. 9 and Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Linda L. Fowler of the 6500 block of Highway W reported money was stolen from her residence between 10 a.m. Oct. 9 and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12.

Phyllis M. Hobbs of the 4600 block of Highway PP reported Tuesday, Oct. 13, that a shed at her residence had been forcibly entered between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.

According to the report, an electric power washer, chain saw, weed trimmer, leaf blower, flood light, socket set and four fishing rods and reels were stolen.

Donald Ray Jones of Williamsville reported a residence he owns in the 200 block of North Riverview Drive had a washer, dryer, metal kitchen cabinet and a small electric heater stolen sometime between Oct. 7 and Oct. 9.

Jessica L. Gowen of the 2300 block of Covington Meadows reported her grandmother’s 2001 Toyota Camry had been stolen sometime between the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 13, and Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Tristan Matthew Scott Labarre of the 700 block of Poplar Street reported his sister’s 2002 Toyota Highlander was stolen from a location in the 1200 block of North Main Street at about 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.
