Sylvia L. Parsons Ramsey-Rezner, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, in Augusta, Georgia.
She was the daughter of the late George James Dewey Parsons and Dasey Lee (Campbell) Parsons. She is the mother of Charles and Keith Ramsey.
She was a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University and Arkansas State University. She was a professor of speech and director of the learning resource center at Georgia Military College and taught school in Ellsinore before moving to Augusta.
She is the author of four books; one of which was a biography entitled “A Rocky Road with Love, Faith and Guts,” which ends with finding the love of her life and 13 and a half years of loving marriage to Tom Rezner, who she met on match.com
There will be a visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. There will then be a procession to Kerns Chapel Cemetery in Stringtown for a 2:30 p.m. graveside funeral. Sylvia will be laid to rest with her parents.
