FISK — Lloyd Edward Snider, age 81, of Broseley, Missouri, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Mr. Snider was born, Aug. 22, 1939 in Broseley to the late Elvis and Lucy Snider.

Lloyd was an enthusiastic member of the Butler County Coon Club and Kinder Coon Club. Until retirement, he worked for Complete Auto Transit Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and horse and dog races. He always looked forward to Sunday dinners with his family. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

On Dec. 30, 1956, he married Barbara Rosson; she survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Diana Battles and husband Terry of Dexter, Darla Akridge and husband Robert of Campbell; three sons: Jeff Snider and wife Tonya, David Snider, and Greg L. Snider, all of Broseley; one grandson who was like a son: Greg W. Snider and wife Jessica of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters: Carol Lindsay and husband Louie of Fisk, and Glenda Jones of Pensacola, Florida; two brothers: Ronnie and wife Dorothy Snider of Poplar Bluff, and Steve and wife Mary Snider of Qulin; grandchildren: Dustin Dunning and wife Heather, Ashley Mosier and husband Justin, Whitney Anderson, Zach Akridge and wife Alyssa, Ethan Akridge (Taylor), Misty House and husband Derek, Michael Snider, Ashley Deken and husband Jared; and 19 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother: Marvin Snider; one grandson: Ryan Akridge, and one nephew: Kyle Snider.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.

Memorials can be made to the Kyle Snider Memorial Scholarship at Twin Rivers High School, Attn: Anna Libla. The family requests masks be worn.
