City firefighters responded at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, to a report of a fire in the woods in the 1700 block of Barron Road.
According to the report, firefighters found a small fire in a burn barrel at the 1733 Barron Road residence occupied by Kathryn Medina and owned by Matt Lee. Natural vegetation was being burned; however, there was no water source available and it was after dark.
Medina reportedly put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, to an alarm at 3100 Warrior Lane. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 7:01 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the intersection of Ninth and Maud streets.
According to the report, firefighters found an unauthorized burn in a vacant lot at 946 N. Ninth St., owned by Ronnie Mellon.
Firefighters reportedly told Mellon he could not burn trash in the city and used 250 gallons of water to put the fire out.
