Gertrude (Trudy) Duncan

Gertrude (Trudy) Duncan, 68 of Poplar Bluff died Sept. 11, 2020, at her residence.  She was born on September 5, 1952 to the

late William and Gertrude (Siebert) Hirtz.

On Sept. 3, 1988, she was united in marriage to Ben Duncan. He preceded in death in 2013.

Trudy was an insurance agent, being the owner of Trudy Duncan Insurance Agency. She was very devoted to her job and to her clients.

She was a member of St. Anne’s Society and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Traveling was a passion for Trudy, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children: Gail Fox-Dohrman (Jim),  Carl Troutt, Mike Troutt (Renee), Brad Troutt (Ali), Kristen Lacy (Matt), Pam Scott (Devon); grandchildren: Jerrica and Julia Fox, Hailey Troutt, Brayden and Bryant Troutt, Nicholas Troutt, Bennett, Logan, Cooper and Kadee Lacy; brothers: Father Daniel Hirtz, Bill, Darrall and Mike Hirtz; sisters: Gloria Jean Good, Peggy Deken, and Cheri Bader; and special friends: Jo Alice Hirtz and Wayne Keeney.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Duncan, her parents William and Gertrude Hirtz, a niece and two nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, at Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home. The funeral mass will begin at

11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens in Poplar Bluff.
