Roy Lee Mellon

Roy Lee Mellon, 76, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Mellon was born July 22, 1944 in Springfield, Mo., to the late Edward James Mellon and Lucy Mitchell. On Dec. 4, 1999 he married Tammy Montgomery; she survives.

Also surviving are eight children: Jason Longhibler, Vanessa Simpson (Michael), Steven Schuver (Arlyn), Johnny, Ronnie, James, Joyce and Stephanie Mellon; 10 grandchildren; one brother: Louis Garner; and one sister: Deborah Mellon. He was also preceded in death by one grandchild.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 at Kern’s Chapel Cemetery in Stringtown, Mo. with Pastor Shiela Boyles officiating.
