K. Devon Lewis, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Lewis was born on June 22, 1939, in Poplar Bluff to the late Charles Wilton and Faye Hendrix Lewis. On June 30, 1962, he married Sandra Clark. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Lewis graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in the class of 1957. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961. Mr. Lewis was a deacon at First Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to church, and watching Cardinals’ baseball. He was the owner of Skate City for 44 years.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Don.
Survivors include his two children, Phillip Lewis (Leslie) of Poplar Bluff, and Suzanne Johnson (Ron) of Wappapello; five grandchildren, Cassi Cheshire (Rick), Jon-Paul Clark (Cassandra), Paige Sheehy (Bryant), Katie-Rae Clark and Alex Lewis; and four great grandchildren, Reece and Rickie Cheshire, Weston Clark and Piper Sheehy.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Pastor Brandon Spain officiating.
