__City council__

The Poplar Bluff City Council will meet at 6:45 p.m. Monday at the city council chambers for a tax rate hearing, followed by a regular meeting.

Items on the workshop agenda of the 7 p.m. regular meeting include:

• Change Order #1 regarding a noise study for the environmental re-evaluation of the Hwy 67/I-57 project.

• Request for a conditional use permit for a drive-thru window for the sale of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 1324 N. Westwood Blvd. The applicant is PAJCO Inc. of Cape Girardeau.

Items on the voting agenda include:

• Soliciting bids on property owned by the City of Poplar Bluff located at the corner of Barron Road and Baugh Lane.

• Bid recommendation for network maintenance equipment.

• Agreement with the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Office of Homeland Security for the purchase of an upgraded 911 System.

• Tax levies for 2020.

• Change Order #1 relative to the re-evaluation of the Highway 67/I-57 project.

• Conditional use permit for the sale of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 1324 N. Westwood Blvd.

A closed session is also planned.

The Municipal Utilities Advisory Board will meet at 3 p.m. Monday at the utility office. Items on the agenda include review of bids for poles.

The Poplar Bluff Plumbing Board will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at the city council chambers.

Items on the agenda include a request by Billy S. Lay to take the journeyman plumber’s test and a request by Kyle J. Martin to take the master plumber’s test.

__Residential housing__

The Poplar Bluff Residential Housing Advisory Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the city council chambers. Items on the agenda include a discussion with Shelby Road cleanup organizers.

__Board of adjustment__

The Poplar Bluff Board of Adjustment will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the city council chambers.

Items on the agenda include: request for variance to allow a beauty parlor in a RS-3 central area residential area and request for a beauty shop in a single family residence. Applicant is Rosa Johnson.
