FISK, Mo. — Delbert Ray Tipton, 79, of Fisk, died Saturday, Aug 8, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Tipton was born Oct.7, 1940 in Broseley, son of the late Alonzo Judson and Ida Bell Tipton. He had worked for Municipal Utilities in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed singing in church and fishing and hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren...

FISK, Mo. — Delbert Ray Tipton, 79, of Fisk, died Saturday, Aug 8, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Tipton was born Oct.7, 1940 in Broseley, son of the late Alonzo Judson and Ida Bell Tipton. He had worked for Municipal Utilities in Poplar Bluff.

He enjoyed singing in church and fishing and hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On Oct. 27, 1957, he married Naomi Peggy Cross at Hernando, Mississippi. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter: Daronda Jean Parks of Poplar Bluff, one sister: Maxine Beck of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren: Justin Parks and Kyle (Jenni) Parks, Michael (Chelsea) Tipton, Dylan and McKenna Tipton; six great-grandchildren: Caleb, Camden, Madison, Spencer, Lexie and Mason.

He was also preceded in death by one son: Stephen Ray Tipton; four brothers: Charles, Delmar, Leon and Dean Tipton and two sisters: Virginia and Wanda.

Visitation will begin at 1 p. m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick White and Rev. Kenny King officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
