Thomas Allen Sliger, 64, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was born in Poplar Bluff, on February 17, 1956 to the late James Weber Sliger and Leta Elizabeth (Ward) Sliger. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for M&A Electric for over 20 years as a groundlineman and continued working as part owner of Myrtle’s Place. ...

Thomas Allen Sliger, 64, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was born in Poplar Bluff, on February 17, 1956 to the late James Weber Sliger and Leta Elizabeth (Ward) Sliger. He was of the Baptist faith.

He worked for M&A Electric for over 20 years as a groundlineman and continued working as part owner of Myrtle’s Place. When not enjoying the company of customers at Myrtle’s, Thomas stayed active fishing and hunting, messing with his horses, cooking up BBQ, loving his grandchildren and living at “The Hill.”

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Sliger; two children, son Brian Scott Hood (Amy) of Poplar Bluff and Leanna Marie Alexander (Donnie) of Poplar Bluff; as well as three grandchildren, Truston Alexander, Lauren Alexander (Zane Crosby) and Scotty Hood (Jordan).

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Sam Sliger.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2020 starting at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. at the Fitch-Hillis Chapel. Speakers for the service will be Rev. Steve Proctor and Rev. Ron Webb.
