Miles Meadows

Miles Gregory Meadows, son of the late Thomas and Katherine (Chapin) Meadows was born Jan. 1, 1937, in Oakland County, Michigan and departed this life on Monday, July 6, 2020, at his residence in Poplar Bluff. He attained the age of 83 years, six months and five days.

Miles had resided in Missouri since 1990 and was formerly of Michigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was of the General Baptist faith and pastored for many years. He enjoyed fishing, and mowing lawns. He spent 12 years working as a maintenance worker for the city of Dudley. Miles had a great personality, a big heart and loved spending time with his family.

On Sept. 7, 2002, he was united in marriage to Pam Warbington in Dudley.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Meadows, of Poplar Bluff; one son, Steve Meadows (Deanna) of Michigan; six daughters, Sharon Meadows, Debbie Broadwater (Kim), Dyanne Woody (Marty) all of Michigan, Becky Gratton (John) of Dudley, Tracy Peters of Puxico, and Tammy Ham (Doug) of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Sharon Hill (Bill) of Kansas; one sister-in-law, Janet Meadows of Dudley; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and many family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Miles was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Meadows.

A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, July 13, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
