Peggy Shands

Peggy Shands, 79, of Fisk, died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at her residence, in Fisk.

Mrs. Shands was born Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1940, in Broseley, daughter of the late Louis Harvey and Elsie Arnold. She was a homemaker and had retired from Marler Home Care in March 2020.

On March 1, 1958, she married Billy Joe Shands. He preceded in death Jan. 18, 2004.

She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Mareschal (Dean), Nita Swain and Vickie Shands all of Fisk; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren and Patricia and Steve Winters, who she considered her children along with several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Oneida Kimbrow; and four brothers, Bobby Brewington, Larry, Carl and James Edward Arnold.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Terry Kimbrow Officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
