Derek K. Whitworth, 27, of Poplar Bluff suffered minor injuries when his 2007 Ford Explorer crossed US Highway 60 at Business 60 in Van Buren at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, July 4. According to the report, Whitworth’s vehicle reportedly crossed the highway and ran off the road, where it rested on its top.
Whitworth was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Hunter L. Parker, 17, of Malden suffered moderate injuries when his 2008 Chevrolet Aveo ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, July 5, while traveling southbound on Highway 25 at the County Road 632 intersection in Stoddard County.
According to the report, Parker was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment.

Two teenagers suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle collision at 2 a.m. Sunday, July 5, on US Highway 60, two miles west of Fisk.
According to the report, a 2015 Ford F150 pickup driven by Benjamin Clark of Harviell struck the rear of a 1985 Honda three-wheeler.
Both teenagers were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Hubbard, 43, of Doniphan was arrested at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, July 4, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone, possession of diazepam, possession of alprazolam, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt. He was booked at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.

David Dewayne Webb, 42, of the 100 block of West Harper Street, reported damage to his vehicle at 11:26 p.m. Friday, July 3.
According to the report, Webb heard what he believed to be fireworks between 9:30-10:30 p.m. that night, but when he went outside later the front passenger window of his truck was damaged and there appeared to be bullet holes in the door. Officers located a small projectile.

Brenda Lee Lyons, 38, of the 900 block of Fairmont reported hearing three shots in the vicinity of Nooney and Valley near 11:28 p.m. Thursday, July 2.
According to the report, Lyons said it sounded like a shotgun. An area search yielded nothing.

An unknown person reported shots fired in the area of Bearden and Sanders streets near 9:45 p.m. Thursday, July 2.
According to the report, a resident in the 2000 block of Sanders Street reported no shots were filed.

Donna Louise Jackson, 58, of the 1900 bock of Sanders Street reported receiving a call that her brother was struck by a car at Cole Avenue and Cliff Street at 6:32 a.m. Thursday, July 2.
According to the report, she went to the area and found Donald Ray Warbritton Jr., 50, of the 1900 block of Sanders Street, and called dispatch. Warbritton reported he was struck by a dark colored car near 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, and was unable to reach his phone to call for help.
Video surviellance showed a dark Ford vehicle with tinted windows and chrome molding and hubcaps “purposefully swerved” toward Warbritton near 12:32 a.m.
Warbritton was transported to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center by Butler County EMS.

According to the report, the male tried the door several times, which was locked but not securely fastened, before managing to open it and both entered.
