Edith Louise Richardson

Edith Louise Richardson, 91, of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Edith was born on August 12, 1928 to Otto and Carmel (Brown) Ashley in Perry County, Arkansas. She married Donald Franklin Richardson on January 13, 1945, in Gideon, Missouri.

Edith was a member of New Covenant Church. She was a homemaker.

Edith is survived by two daughters, Michelle Robertson (Eugene) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Brenda Ellis (Junior) of Poplar Bluff; one son, Garry Don Richardson (Gloria) of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Guy Paul Ashley of Troy, Misouri, Gayle Ashley of Fordland, Missouri, and Ronnie Ashley of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Carolyne Sissom of Troy, Missouri; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Edith was preceded by her husband; parents; one son, Darrell Richardson; one daughter, Deborah Bowden; three sisters, Helena, Barbara, and Katherine.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery and officiated by Reverend Jerry Moore.
