A portion of the Poplar Bluff Municipal Library Kanell Branch opened to the public Monday.
Computers are now available for personal use, although this will be a contactless service, according to library staff.
“The library staff and I are pleased to open a part of the Poplar Bluff Municipal Library Kanell Branch for access to public computers,” stated library director Sue Szostak. “Library users will be able to access their email accounts and use public computers for personal finance, job applications, and census reporting.”
Library hours at the Kanell Branch will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Library staff will be available to assist patrons at the service window only. Computer users are asked to practice social distancing and to wear masks. Hand sanitizer is available also.
No cash will be received at the branch. Those needing to print must pay with credit or debit card. Prints are $.20 per page for black and white and $.50 per page for color. In addition to computer access, patrons may return their items at the Kanell Branch.
