Patricia Mitchell

PIEDMONT — Patricia Sue (Froman) Mitchell, 67, of Patterson, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Pat was born on June 6, 1953, to Eugene and Mildred (Massa) Froman in Collinsville, Illinois. She graduated from Clearwater High School in 1971. Pat worked in St. Louis for several years as a CNA for Jefferson Barracks Veteran’s Hospital.

On Sept. 27, 1997, she married Richard Mitchell in Patterson.

Pat was an amazing and funny lady. She loved life and enjoyed having fun, but her main focus was always taking care of all the needs of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She spent countless years and time taking her grandchildren fishing, swimming and camping. This love of her family carried over to her nieces and nephews who she treated and considered her own children and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Richard Mitchell of Patterson; two children, Sarah (Stanley) Kelley of Des Arc, Missouri, and Aaron (Rebecca) Whitmer of Patterson; four step-children, Linda (Randy) Bullard of O’Fallen, Illinois, Richard Mitchell of Benld, Illinois, Barbara (Don) Quest of St. Louis, and Mar Lou Grilliot of Flint, Michigan; 11 grandchildren, Trey Rivas, Madison Whitmer, Hayley Whitmer, Susannah Whitmer, Austin Mitchell, Abbie Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell, Kourtnee Bullard, Deanna Hackman, Vicki Palmer and Michelle Bartholomew; six great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Steve (Marie) Froman of Patterson, Jacqueline Durr of Crystal City, Missouri, and Ricky Froman of Patterson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Morrison Funeral Home in Piedmont.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marie Froman officiating. Burial will take place in the Jefferson Barracks National Veteran’s Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Clearwater School Foundation.
