Jonathan Dawson, 30, of Van Buren was arrested at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (Clonazepam), possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail and released.

Two Qulin residents were injured in a motorcycle crash at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, on Highway N, three miles south of Oglesville.
According to the report, Jacob W. Elliott, 25, was operating a 2007 Honda motorcycle southbound when it struck an animal in the road.
Elliott suffered minor injuries, as did his passenger, Timberlyn J. Merrit, 24. Both were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Nichole B. Mills, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. She was booked at the Wright County Jail.

Christopher E. Tanner, 36, of Greenville was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, on suspicion of two counts possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and a prescription pill) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Wayne County Jail.

Kenneth Harold Betz, 44, of the 1100 block of Main Street was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, June 24, on a capias warrant for probation violation on an original charge of stalking.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT
Larissa Nicole Hays, 36, of Wappapello was arrested at 12:37 a.m. Thursday, June 25, on Highway 53 on suspicion of stealing, fraudulent use of a credit/debit device and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Three Poplar Bluff residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the intersection of Benton and Valley.
According to the report, Brice Kaleem Allred, 23, of the 100 block of Begley Street was operating a 2013 Ford Focus eastbound on Valley at Benton.
At the same time, Kenneth Lee Thomas, 55, of the 1000 block of Garfield Street was operating a 2009 Toyota Corolla southbound on Benton at Valley.
Allred allegedly failed to yield at the stop sign, which controlled his direction of travel.
Thomas’ car reportedly entered the intersection, and his vehicle and Allred’s car allegedly collided.
Thomas’ car spun around 180 degrees and came to rest facing north.
Allred’s car reportedly veered off the right side of the road and went into a ditch before coming to a stop.
Allred complained of head and back injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Thomas complained of pain to his right leg, while his 56-year-old passenger, Mary Lee Thomas of the 1000 block of Garfield, complained of pain to the right side of her torso. The Thomases were taken by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

BLOOMFIELD — Charles Scott McCollum, 48, of Campbell was booked at the Stoddard County Jail on a warrant for non-support.
