Gregory K. Richey, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, on suspicion of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

Shannon D. Hatcher, 20, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:16 p.m. Friday, June 19, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver’s license, window tint violation, no seat belt and a Butler County warrant for felony obstructing justice. She was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

Dakota L. Miller, 23, of Harviell was arrested at 10:35 a.m. Friday, June 19, on a Butler County warrant for possession of methamphetamine. He was booked at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department.

Carl W. Markham, 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:17 a.m. Friday, June 19, on suspicion of driving while revoked and a Butler County warrant for a probation violation. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Lucas R. Whithead, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8 a.m. Friday, June 19, on a Butler County failure to appear warrant. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

A 17-year-old Williamsville resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, June 20, on Highway O, seven miles north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Avory A. Gibbs was operating a 2000 Honda CRV southbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Gibbs suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 60-year-old Tallapoosa man was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 11 p.m. Friday, June 19, on Highway 62, one mile west of Route J in New Madrid County.

According to the report, Danny R. Summerton was operating a 2019 Chevrolet Impala eastbound when he travelled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, overturned and caught fire. Summerton was pronounced dead by Coroner George Delisle at the scene.

Summerton is the 23rd fatality of the year in Troop E.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:40 p.m. Friday, June 19, on Highway 25, 1 1/2 miles south of Dexter.

According to the report, Douglas D. Hensley, 59, of Gideon was operating a 2010 Chrysler Sebring northbound when it travelled off the right side of the road striking a utility pole.

Hensley and his 57-year-old passenger Tammy R. Hensley, 57, of Gideon, both suffered minor injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Hensley was arrested at 10:08 p.m. Friday, June 19, on suspicion of DWI. He was released for medical treatment.

A 46-year-old man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:06 a.m. Friday, June 19, on Highway 84 at Homecrest Drive in Kennett.

According to the report, Robbie D. Hale of Cardwell was operating a 2013 Dodge Charger eastbound when a 2014 Jeep Cherokee operated by a 16-year-old juvenile from Kennett allegedly pulled into the path of the Charger.

Hale suffered minor injuries and was taken by EMS to Arkansas Methodist in Paragould, Arkansas, for treatment.

A 22-year-old women from Blue Springs, Missouri, was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, June 18, on U.S. 412, five miles east of Kennett.

According to the report, a 2005 Jeep Liberty operated by Ajaysia L. Pulliam, 23, of Kennett was traveling west when it struck an animal in the roadway. The vehicle then ran off the roadway and overturned, ejecting Pulliam’s passenger.

Antonia E. Mitchell was taken by helicopter to Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas, where she was later pronounced dead.

Pullman suffered serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment.

Mitchell is the 22nd fatality this year in Troop E.

Joshua Earl Hopkins, 37, of Wappapello was arrested at 8:21 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on suspicion of peace disturbance, property damage and threats of assault. He was booked to the Butler County jail and released.

Police responded at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, June 18, to Valley Plaza Shopping Center to a report of leaving the scene of an accident.

Kristin Howdeshell reported her vehicle was parked when it was sideswiped on the driver’s side corner by another car,w hich sped off in the direction of Maud Street.
