Elvis L. Tison, 87, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020. Born in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of William D and Ruby H. (Brake) Tison. Elvis served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1963. He retired in 1988 from General Motors, Corvette Bowling Green Assembly Plant. One thing he loved more than his family were his dogs. Elvis L. Tison, 87, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020.

Born in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of William D and Ruby H. (Brake) Tison.

Elvis served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1963. He retired in 1988 from General Motors, Corvette Bowling Green Assembly Plant. One thing he loved more than his family were his dogs. He was known by many as the dog man.

Elvis was survived by his sister, Charlene Hill, Missouri; daughters, Julie Balliet, Pennsylvania, Candise Bruce, Texas, and Tamara Tison and Brenda Tison, Arizona; a son, Elvis Tison, Kentucky; as well as 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Elvis was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Scavio, Larry Dale and Wilford Tison.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
