MALDEN ~ Lloyd Stone, 93, of Malden, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his residence in Malden, Missouri. Lloyd, son of James Henry Stone and Mary Louisa Vantrease Stone, was born on Saturday, April 2, 1927 in Clarkton, Missouri. He was a Retired Supervisor having worked for Malden Board of Public Works and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict...

MALDEN ~ Lloyd Stone, 93, of Malden, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his residence in Malden, Missouri.

Lloyd, son of James Henry Stone and Mary Louisa Vantrease Stone, was born on Saturday, April 2, 1927 in Clarkton, Missouri.

He was a Retired Supervisor having worked for Malden Board of Public Works and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict.

On Oct. 8, 1953 in Kennett, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Anna King. She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Gary Leon Stone and wife, Juanita of Scranton, N.D., Norman Bradley Stone of Malden; grandchildren, Randy Stone of Montana, Brandy McCain of Kennett, Austin Ormsbey of Poplar Bluff; great-grandchildren, Emili, Sahra, Aimee and Brandy and sister, Dorothy Louise McGill of Malden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, William, Billy, Jr., Buddy and Dallas.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m., at the funeral chapel with Mr. James Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
