Martha Iva Lou Sparkman

Martha Iva Lou Sparkman, 88, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Sparkman was born April 16, 1932, in Orange County, California. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Sparkman enjoyed being with her family, sewing, singing in quartets and cooking.

She was married to Haskell Gene McNeely on Feb. 14, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1983. She later married Robert ‘Bob’ F. Sparkman. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Janet L. Colburn of Poplar Bluff and Becky (Mike) Daniels of Montgomery, Ala.; two sons, Jim Sparkman and Mike Sparkman both of Poplar Bluff; several grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Her parents, two daughters, Linda Sue Crowell and Cindy Lynn Sparkman, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

A graveside service and burial will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman Cemetery in Butler County, with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating.
