Piggott, Ark., girl seriously injured after hit by a car

A 5-year-old Piggott, Ark., girl was seriously injured when she was struck by a vehicle at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, on County Road 237, three miles east of Campbell.

According to the report, Shaun A. Rankin, 41, of Piggott was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, which moved from a stationary position and struck the girl.

The child was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
