Moore Funeral Home becomes Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services

A local business has changed its name, but says the care and comfort it offers to families remains just as strong.

Moore Funeral Home officially became Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services on Monday.

The location, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, and phone number, 573-785-1200, remain the same.

“It’s the same facility, the same wonderful customer service, the same phone number and address, it’s just a new name,” said Monica Woolem, business manager for Willow Ridge and the group which owns it, PVP Investments, LLC.

PVP Investments, LLC is owned by three Poplar Bluff businessmen.

The new name was chosen in coordination by the owners, their families and the employees, said Woolem.

A new website and Facebook page have been created for the new name, https://www.willowridgefcs.com. The previous website now redirects visitors to the new website, Woolem said.

MVP Investment, LLC built and opened the funeral home in February 2015. MVP Investment, LLC restructured to form PVP Investments, LLC in January 2020, and recently went through the process of acquiring new licensing under the new name.

State inspectors were pleased with the facility, from the front end to the back end, said Woolem.

“I think our goal and our mission is just to treat every family how we would want our families to be treated,” she said. “We want to make sure we’re attentive and timely and respectful in providing the customer service they deserve, which, in turn, turns us into a family.

“Being able to provide excellent customer service and the beautiful facility, meeting a family for the first time and them turning into our family, that’s the same.”

Willow Ridge offers prearrangement, in addition to a modern facility.

In addition to Woolem, it is staffed by funeral director/pre-need counselor Carla Cross, who recently joined Willow Ridge, and two funeral attendants, Paul Carnahan and Larry Keating.

For families that have a prearranged contract, the contract will now be fulfilled under Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Prearranged families are urged to contact Willow Ridge if they have any questions.
