Richard Lee “Dickie” Morse, age 69, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, April 26, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Morse was born Feb. 20, 1951 in Poplar Bluff, son of the late Melvin and Clella Morse. He graduated from Broseley High School in 1969. He had served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the John J. Pershing VAMC. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing.
On Aug. 7, 1970, he married Sue Ellsworth. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Richard Paul Morse (Emily) of Patton, Mo., Denise Lewis (Lee) of Fisk; four grandchildren, Mica (Ethan) Mitchell, Brody Morse, Kylee Lewis and Carter Lewis; one great grandson, Rycen Paul Mitchell; two brothers, Steve Morse (Marcia) and Bill Morse (Dean) both of Poplar Bluff; one brother-in-law, Eddie Lowe; and one sister-in-law, Shelby Morse, both of Poplar Bluff; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother and sister, Jack Morse and Linda Lowe.
There will be a private family visitation and funeral service Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral service will be live streamed at 3 p.m. on White Sanders Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Burial will be in Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
