Two area men were seriously injured in separate crashes Tuesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Allen D. Gordon, 18, of Wappapello was operating a 2002 Dodge pickup on northbound Highway D at the Lake View Residential Care Facility in Wayne County at about 9:40 p.m.
Gordon’s truck reportedly ran off the road and overturned.
Gordon was flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
The patrol also reports Daniel E. Davis, 20, of Van Buren was injured in a two-vehicle crash, which occurred at 4:10 p.m. on U.S. 60 at Highway W, one mile east of Van Buren.
According to the report, Ronald F. Toth, 55, of Hartville, Missouri, was operating a 2017 Ford pickup northbound when he failed to yield to an oncoming 2014 Hyundai Assent being driven eastbound by Davis.
Davis’ vehicle allegedly struck Toth’s truck in the side.
Davis was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
