Dema Pundsack

DONIPHAN — Dema Jean Pundsack, 86-year-old resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo., departed this life Friday, April 3, 2020.

Mrs. Pundsack was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Ottawa, Wisconsin, to the late Bert Harrison and Olive (Owens) Downing.

In addition to her parents, Dema was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Pundsack, who she married May 4, 1963. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1995. Three sisters, Ruby, Thema, and Abby and six brothers, Buford, Russell, Ronald, Homer, Dors Lee, and Rudy also preceded her in death.

Surviving children are, Julie Johnson of Poplar Bluff; Daniel (Mary) Vesnefsky of Alcoa, Tennessee; Bonnie (Jeff) Criley of Marine, Illinois; Lisa (Bob) Atwood of Glade Spring, Virginia; Herbert (Renee) Pundsack of Doniphan; Timothy (Joanna) Pundsack of Doniphan; and Chad (Brooke) Pundsack of Poplar Bluff, as well as 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pundsack retired after 21 years from Gates Rubber Company in Poplar Bluff. She also enjoyed gardening, music and spending time with her beloved family.

Her services were private at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan and burial was in the Doniphan City Cemetery on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
