A 16-year-old Blytheville, Arkansas, resident was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, April 9, on Highway NN, two miles north of the Arkansas state line in Dunklin County.

According to the report, a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was being operated northbound by a 16-year-old Gosnell, Arkansas, resident when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole before overturning.

The teen driver suffered serious injuries, as did her passengers, Darreonau L. Foreman, 17, of Steele and Kyle Spears, 19, of Caruthersville.

A Blytheville teen was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:40 p.m. by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell. She is the 10th fatality in Troop E this year.

The driver and Spears were flown to Region One Health Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment.

Foreman was flown to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis for treatment.
