MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 21-year-old Oak Ridge man was killed and three others injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, on Larch Lane, south of Highway FF, in Cape Girardeau County.
According to the report, Ashton J. McCants, 17, of Jackson was operating a 2006 Ford pickup southbound when it ran off the road. McCants reportedly overcorrected, which caused his truck to overturn, ejecting Bobby R. Spears.
Spears was pronounced dead at 9:04 p.m. at the scene by a doctor. He is the ninth fatality in Troop E for the year.
McCants suffered moderate injuries, while a 16-year-old passenger from Jackson suffered serious injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
Another passenger, Kyle J. Hamlin, 19, of Patton suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Jewelyan Rose Gooch, 19, of the 2700 block of Hickman Road was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, April 1, on a failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Mikel Ray Hughes of the 200 block of County Road 452 reported Wednesday, April 1, that his storage unit at Southern Storage in the 200 block of East Outer Road had been forcibly entered.
According to the report, a generator was stolen.

A 62-year-old Campbell woman was treated at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, April 1.
According to the report, Carol S. Wilson told deputies she was delivering food at a residence in the 900 block of County Road 620 at Fisk when she was bitten.
Wilson reported she was walking back to her vehicle when she was approached by four dogs barking and acting aggressive toward her. Wilson reported she almost had reached her vehicle when one of the dogs bit her on the right leg.

Lee Aaron Jones, 28, of the 1200 block of Winnie was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the intersection of Spring Street and Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of driving while revoked/suspended. She was booked and released on a criminal summons.
