Third case of COVID-19 confirmed in Carter County

Officials at the Carter County Health Department have confirmed a third positive case of COVID-19 in their county.

The person, according to a news release, is quarantined at home.

Officials are working with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the CDC to identify and contact people who may have come in contact with the individual while they were infectious and will monitor them for fever and respiratory symptoms.

No other information about the patient will be released.
