Stage Company cancels rest of season

Several local agencies and organizations are changing how they provide services to area residents amid COVID-19 concerns.

These include:

The Stage Company Board of Directors have canceled the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. The canceled shows are “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ and “Cheaper by the Dozen.”

United Gospel Rescue Mission in Poplar Bluff will be closed through April 1.

Poplar Bluff VA monthly mobile food pantry for veterans is canceled.

The Independent Living Center has put all arthritis land base and aquatic exercise classes on hold until further notice.

The Altrusa annual Poor Man Ham and Beans Dinner, which was scheduled for April 15 at the Masonic Lodge, is canceled.

The Twin Rivers R-X school board meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed to April 7, pending any additional information.
