A 21-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 1:48 a.m. Sunday, March 22, at the intersection of Barron Road and 14th Street.

According to the report, Travis Lee Jordan, 40, of the 2600 block of Linda was operating a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Barron Road and had began making a left turn onto 14th.

At the same time, Desiree Jewell Cannon of the 700 block of Foley Street was operating a 2004 GMC Envoy eastbound on Barron Road and was attempting to pass several vehicles.

Cannon’s SUV allegedly struck Jordan’s vehicle.

Jordan reported he was making his left turn when his vehicle was struck.

A witness reported she was stopped behind Jordan’s vehicle when Cannon’s SUV allegedly came around her at a high rate of speed and struck Jordan’s vehicle.

Cannon was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Cannon was arrested at 3:01 a.m. at the hospital on suspicion of DWI, careless and imprudent driving and no insurance. She was released.
