Mark Antawayne Currie was born Dec. 31, 1989 at Poplar Bluff, Mo. in Lucy Lee Hospital, to Michelle (Currie) Griffin (Benjamin) and Thomas Eskridge, Jr. He departed his life March 17, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Mark confessed his life to Christ in the early 2000s at New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
Mark enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and many sports as a young child. Mark was gifted with many talents and loved cutting hair. He worked in welding, carpentry, and could cook a meal out of this WORLD. He was definitely a JACK of all trades.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Michelle Griffin (Benjamin) of Jacksonville, Ark.; sister, Ashley Louis; brother; Jonathan Morrow of Poplar Bluff; brother: Jeffery Morrow of Jacksonville, Ark.; three nephews who were very DEAR to his heart (HIS BOYS), Izayah, Elijah and Jeremiah of Poplar Bluff; his FAVORITE little cousin, Zaliah (LeLa); grandmother, Dorothy Eskridge; Bobbie Currie (Granny); his dad; Thomas Eskridge, Jr.; sisters; Ashley Matlock, Sakenya Williams, Cecila Rodgers; brothers, Demetri Rodgers, Lametri Rodgers and Jaren Eskridge; SPECIAL Aunties, Kimberly Woods of Poplar Bluff, Ladonna Currie (second mom) of Poplar Bluff, Tiffany Johnson of Mishawaka, Ind.; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial service 12 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020, at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with Deacon Ira Currie officiating, Pastor Allen Williams to deliver the eulogy.
