The Agee Community Club met March 13 at Godfather’s Pizza.

Hostess was club president Cathy Womack who opened the meeting with the group repeating the club motto, “When the heart is full of love the world is full of beauty.”

The invocation and devotional were given by Nickey Orton from Luke 18:1-8. Jeanie Figgins read the secretary and treasurers reports. Birthday cards were given to Orton and Figgins.

Roll call was answered by reading positive uplifting statements found online by Nadine Johnson, who also handed out copies of the Black River Times. Johnson also read a poem from belated honorary club member Orel Smith’s poetry book. The poem was “Springtime Blooms.”

The lesson was given by Johnson, who showed what pretty bookmarks can be made from last year’s Christmas cards. The members read various articles from the Black River Times.

Door prize this month was a gift of Womack buying everyone’s lunch.

Hostess for April will be Orton. The meeting closed with the group repeating the club collect, “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalms 46:10
