Ralph Pleas Thomas, 54, of Fairdealing, Mo., went home to be with Jesus, Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at 7:37 p.m. in the Texas Health Alliance Hospital at Fort Worth, Texas. Ralph’s father, Rev. Henry Thomas was by his side.
Ralph’s life journey began June 10, 1965, in Chicago, Ill., with his proud parents, Rev. Henry and Donna “Williams” Thomas of Naylor, Mo.
In 1983, Ralph graduated from high school in Rock Falls, Ill.. He went on to major in Theology at Texas Bible College, Houston, Texas in 1987. He assisted his father who pastored New Life Tabernacle in Rock Falls, Ill. Ralph also went to Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, Ill. and SIU in Springfield, Ill.
Ralph was kind and welcoming to every person he encountered and never met a stranger. He had a passion for the ministry, deer hunting and fishing with his son. He loved to cook, bar-b-que, and smoke is meat outdoors.
He was a proud trucker and student trainer for many years. He was currently working for P.T.I. at Sikeston, Mo. and was delivering a load to Texas when he became very sick and had to go to hospital.
Ralph married the love of his life, Ronda Renee Wiley, daughter of Ronnie and Connie Wiley of Fairdealing, at the Naylor Pentecostal Church, at Naylor, on Valentines Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999. They had just celebrated their 21st year of marriage. Ralph was a proud and loving father to their two beautiful children, son, Shiloh Pleas Thomas, born Sunday Oct. 22, 2006 and daughter, Reanna Renee Thomas, born Sunday April 2, 2017.
Surviving are his parents, wife, Children, father-in-law and mother-in-law, and Ronda’s Mamaw, Dorothy Zitnak of Fairdealing.Also surviving is one sister, Tracey Thomas Seaton and her husband, Sterling, of Roodhouse, Ill., and their two children, Austin and Chelsey, also uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends. He cherished them all.
Ralph was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pleas and Irene Thomas of Doniphan, Mo. and Myrtle and Leslie Davis of Naylor.
Ralph was a member of the Naylor Pentecostal Church in Naylor, where he loved to worship with and pray for his family and friends. He helped in the ministry when needed and when his trucking jobs permitted.
His visitation will be 6 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, in the Naylor Pentecostal Church at Naylor. The funeral Will be at 2 p.m., Sunday March 8, 2020 in the Naylor Pentecostal Church with Pastor Donnie Fowler officiating and Rev. Henry Thomas assisting. Burial will be in the Fairdealing Cemetery at Fairdealing.
