Officials continue to investigate the network disruption that occurred Tuesday afternoon at Three Rivers College.
Classes are cancelled for the rest of the week except for nursing and allied health programs in Poplar Bluff and Sikeston, according to officials.
Third-party computer specialists came in to help with the investigation and continue to work on restoring operations, they report.
Dr. Wesley Payne, president, said there is no indication, at this time, that “any personal information has been stolen,” because of the disruption.
Payne said the college is working with these specialists to bring the system back to operation as quickly as possible.
If students have questions for teachers or administration regarding school work Teresa Johnson, director of marketing, said they can be sent via email.
Payne explained that the school emails operate through Microsoft 365, which was not effected by the disruption.
Emails can be accessed through http://portal.office.com with the person’s regular email address and password. A secondary identity verification may be sent via text message.
All National League of Nursing Pre-Admission exams are cancelled for this week and additional testing dates will be announced. Deadlines for other missed class assignments have not been set at this time.
“As part of our commitment to our students we will be flexible with deadlines, assignments, and exams while the College continues to resolve the issue and restore service,” Payne said.
“Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. I will keep you updated as we move forward.”
