MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 15-year-old Advance resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, on Highway C in Advance.
According to the report, Robin S. Benefield, 49, of Zalma was operating a 2001 Ford Explorer westbound when it crossed the center line and struck a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis being driven eastbound by Billy R. Ward, 80, of Advance.
Benefield’s passenger suffered minor injuries, and she was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment.
Benefield was arrested at 6:48 p.m. on suspicion of DWI resulting in physical injury, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, assault on a law enforcement officer, attempt to escape custody and no seat belt. She was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

Kenneth L. Freeman, 25, of Doniphan was arrested at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, on suspicion of DWI, failure to signal and no seat belt. He was booked at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department and later transferred to the Butler County Jail.
