Clyde House, Jr., 86, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Aug. 12, 1933 in Oxly, Mo. to the late Clyde House, Sr. and Gladys (Couch) House.
Mr. House had worked as a mechanic for Eastern Air Lines and also worked for two years at NASA. He was skilled and knowledgeable in working with computers and building electronics. Clyde was a good cook and that earned him the position of deer camp chef. He also enjoyed fishing. Mr. House served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Naylor American Legion.
Surviving are his children, Sandra Sims of Port Lucie, Fla., Michael House of Sullivan, Mo., and Dale House of Florida; his sisters, Beth Bruce of Naylor, Mo., Linda Snodgrass of Gatewood, Joy Tarno of Ellsinore, Bertha Emerson of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Rebecca White of Beloit, Kan.; his brothers, Ted House of St. Peters, Mo., Larry House of Doniphan, and Kenneth House of Hannibal, Mo.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his sisters, Edna DeVault and Vera Haney, and his brothers, Dennis House, Wilford House and Lester House.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, and the funeral will follow at noon. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Oxly, Mo. with full military honors.
