City firefighters responded at 9:28 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, to a report of a structure fire at the 522 N. D St. residence occupied by Samuel Freeman.
According to the report, firefighters found light smoke inside the residence, and a fire still burning on the surface of an electric range.
Firefighters put out the fire and checked for fire extension. No was found. The fire was contained to the surface of the range.
Power was disconnected to the range, and firefighters set up a fan to remove smoke from the home.

At 4:28 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, city firefighters saw smoking coming from behind the 117 E. Center St. residence occupied by Cameron Robertson.
According to the report, firefighters found an unauthorized burn involving a trash fire burning in the back yard.
Firefighters contacted Robertson and told him about the city’s burn ordinance and used 50 gallons of water to put out the fire.

City and county firefighters responded at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, to a report of a shed fire at the 2351 Grand Ave. residence owned by Gale Dover.
According to the report, firefighters found a small trash fire behind the residence near the shed.
The fire was attended and under control.
County firefighters were cancelled en route.

City firefighters responded at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, to an alarm at 3100 Warrior Lane. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 4:07 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, to a report of an electrical fire at the 913 Cole Ave. residence occupied by Dayna Mescy.
According to the report, firefighters found light smoke inside the residence.
Mescy reported there had been a fire in the oven, which had been put out.
Firefighters checked for fire extension and no was found
The electric was disconnected to the range and Mescy was told not to use it until it could be repaired or replaced.
