Robert Eugene Kerr of Poplar Bluff passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Kerr was born March 3, 1932 in McClure, Ill. In 1950 he joined the Air Force and served for 28 years in which he went to Vietnam. During his career in the Air Force he moved to Anchorage, Alaska and to Colorado Springs, Colo. before moving to Poplar Bluff. After the war he started a career in real estate in Poplar Bluff. He was also a 50-year member of the Masons and served as President of the Shriners.

Nothing was more important to Bob than his family and spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by two wives: Ruth E. Smith and Ruby Brewer. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa D. West, and one step-daughter: Racheal Leonard. He is survived by two sons, Robert Kerr Jr. (Marty) and Ronald D. Kerr, both of Poplar Bluff; and one step-daughter: Robyn Brookreson and her husband Steve. He has 22 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at his home Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020. Any memorials should be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
