FAIRDEALING — Mavis Ruby Gulley, 90 year old resident of Fairdealing, departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Gulley was born Sept. 23, 1929 in Kennett to the late Lee and Arvie White Bunting. She was a faithful member of the Center Hill Southern Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, baking, and cooking her favorite chicken and dumplings.
On Jan. 23, 1946 in Broseley, she was married to Raymond Gulley who preceded her in death Aug. 14, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Delbert, Clarence, James, and Blueford Bunting; and one granddaughter Ariana Schumer.
Surviving are children, Michael (Carolyn) Gulley, Lucretia (Walter) Jackson, Mary (Mack) Young and Valerie (Thomas) Schumer, all of Naylor; sister, Sue Carlisle of Festus, Mo.; brother, Glen (Helen) Bunting of Doniphan; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gulley will be held Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Center Hill Southern Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Burnes officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. also at the church. Burial will be in the Center Hill Cemetery.
