A 35-year-old wrong-way driver caused a head-on collision shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 60.
The Dexter woman received moderate injuries from the accident.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kristi L. Burns was operating a 2014 Hyundai when she collided with a 2006 Ford Taurus heading westbound operated by Larry J. Rice, 73, of Williamsville.
Burns was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane, according to the report, and the two collided head-on. Portions of the road remained closed for approximately an hour while cleaning up the collision
Both were transported to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Burns sustained moderate injuries and Rice received minor injuries.
