City firefighters responded at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, to reports of a gas leak at Wash Park/Dog Wash.
According to the report, a worker hit the gas line at the rear of the building. Upon arrival, firefighters could hear the gas leak. They warned nearby residents of the leak and the valve was turned off.

City firefighters responded at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, to reports of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of North Westwood Boulevard and Maud Street.
According to the report, firefighters checked the people involved for injuries before calling for back up from the Poplar Bluff Police Department and helping with traffic control.

City firefighter responded at 6:52 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, to reports of an unauthorized burn at 1800 Woodrow Street.
According to the report, they found a small unattended fire in the backyard. They were unable to make contact with the resident, but used 15 gallons of water to extinguish the fire before clearing the scene.
