City firefighters responded at 4:59 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the intersection of Alice and Bearden streets.
According to the report, firefighters found the occupant at 2025 Alice St. burning leaves. Firefighters told him/her the fire had to be out by dark.

According to the report, firefighters found a gas line had been hit while boring was being done.
Contact was made with gas company personnel.
Firefighters set up a water line in case ignition occurred and stopped traffic in both directions until the leak was repaired.
