Juanita Mae Roberts

ELLSINORE ­— Juanita Mae Roberts, daughter of the late Ervin and Rainey (Bunch) Gore was born Sept. 4, 1943 in Ellsinore and departed this life on Nov. 18, 2019 at the Swift Creek Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff. She had attained the age of seventy-six years, two months and fourteen days.

Juanita had resided in Poplar Bluff since 2006 and was formerly of Ellsinore. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. Juanita was strong willed, you never had to guess what she was thinking, she was kind hearted and had a good sense of humor. She loved her grandchildren and animals.

On Sept. 24, 1960, Juanita was united in marriage to Paul C. Roberts in Belleville, Ill. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2009.

She is survived by three sons, Paul Roberts and wife Peggy of Pocahontas, Ark., James Roberts and wife Marsha of Elsberry, Mo., and Clarence Roberts and wife, Rhonda of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Calvin Gore of Ellsinore; three sisters, Pauline Tueber of Arnold, Mo., Mary Hicks of Ellsinore and Linda Russell of Arnold, Mo; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Juanita was preceded in death by one son, Ed Roberts; two brothers, Carl Gore and Carmel Gore.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Yount Memorial Cemetery in Garwood, Mo.
