MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 23-year-old Bernie man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:46 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, on County Road 627 at County Road 640, one mile south of Dexter.
According to the report, Luke T. Eggert was operating a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound when he failed to negotiate a turn, which caused his car to run off the right side of the road and overturn.
Eggert suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
Eggert was arrested at 3:12 p.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving. He was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

Alex M. Govoni, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:51 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, on two Butler County warrants, a Stoddard County warrant, a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

Four area residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:09 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, on U.S. 412, one mile west of Hayti.
According to the report, Tina L. McIntyre, 31, of Hayti Heights was operating a 2006 Chrysler 300 westbound when it struck the rear of a 2016 Ford Explorer being operated by Jacob R. Cross, 19, of Kennett.
Cross’ passenger, Oscar L. Shaw, 55, of Malden, suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti for treatment.
McIntyre suffered moderate injuries, while her passengers, a 13-year-old female, no address listed, and 14-year-old female of Hayti suffered minor injuries. All three were taken by ambulance to the Hayti hospital for treatment.

Two area residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:58 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, on County Road 467, one mile west of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Michael D. Bohannon, 19, of Doniphan was operating a 2009 Mercury Murano eastbound when it ran off the road, struck a driveway and overturned.
Bohannon suffered serious injuries, as did his 18-year-old passenger, Preston H. Blocker of Poplar Bluff. Both were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Two Stoddard County teenagers were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, on County Road 237, one-half mile north of Highway AC, in Stoddard County.
According to the report, a 16-year-old Bloomfield resident was operating a 1996 Ford pickup southbound when it crossed the center of the road and struck a 2019 Ford pickup head on. The other truck was being operated by Timothy A. Hector, 21, of Bloomfield.
The teen driver suffered moderate injuries, while his 16-year-old passenger of Bernie, suffered serious injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Clayton R. Watson, 27, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, no seat belt and failure to drive on the right half of the road. He was booked at the Butler County jail and later released.

A 9-year-old Poplar Bluff girl was treated at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after she was bitten by a dog on Nov. 9.
According to the report, Michael A. Simpson of the 600 block of County Road 468 told the deputy his daughter, Makennah Brianne Simpson, was playing outside with her sibling when a dog attacked her.
The girl was bitten on the right side of her head/face, causing about a two-inch laceration above her right eye. The girl also suffered several small abrasions and punctures on the right side of her temple and ear.
The girl was treated and released.
