According to the report, they assisted with traffic and loading the patient with EMS before clearing the scene.

City firefighters responded to an odor of smoke at Woodrow Street and Hays Street at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.

According to the report, upon arrival they could see a light haze of smoke and smell it, but were unable to locate the source. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the intersection of East Pine Street and C Street.

According to the report, there was a two vehicle crash that Poplar Bluff Police officers were assisting with. After checking on the drivers of each vehicle, firefighters cleaned debris from the roadway and cleaned a spill. One driver was transported to the medical center by Medic One EMS.

City firefighters responded to an alarm at the Mark Twain Caring Center, 3001 May Street, at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.

According to the report, it was a false alarm. They found nothing showing and made contact with maintenance, who said the system wasn’t working properly and service had been called. It was investigation only.
