Norma May Mondy, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at her residence.
Mrs. Mondy, the daughter of the late Byrd R. and Arrie (Hisaw) Casey, was born Oct. 31, 1934 in Hornersville, Mo.
She was a member of Fellowship General Baptist Church and played piano and organ in churches through her lifetime. She loved music.
Mrs. Mondy retired from US Bank in Doniphan in 1989. She was an avid reader and loved crafts, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed traveling and cruising with her family and loved working puzzles and playing games with them.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her most treasured moments were spent with her family.
On May 2, 1953, she married Lloyd J. Mondy in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three children, Malia G. Mondy of Kirksville, Mo., Keith L. (Lin) Mondy of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Kirk M. (Carol) Mondy of Poplar Bluff; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister ,Ahmalee Barks also of Poplar Bluff.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Casey and Lester Casey; and four sisters, Pauline Pollard, Maxine Moore, Syble Emerson and Iva Rowland.
The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, with the graveside service and burial following at noon. Rev. Byron Beck will officiate. Interment will be at the City Cemetery.
