City firefighters responded at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, to an alarm at the 817 W. Victor St. residence occupied by Patrick Oxley. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 3:57 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, to a report of a cat stuck in a drain tile at 1902 Arkansas Ave.
According to the report, firefighters removed the grate over the drain tile and freed the cat.

City firefighters responded at 1:08 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, to a report of an unauthorized burn under a carport at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Riverview Drive.
According to the report, firefighters found a small unauthorized fire burning under the carport at the 702 N. Riverview Drive residence owned and occupied by Lee Rosson.
A passerby reportedly told firefighters a man had been squatting near the fire when he or she passed by, but was gone a few minutes later. The man reportedly had been burning the coating off wire for scrap.
Firefighters used 20 gallons of water to put out the fire.
