Evelyn Ferguson

FISK — Evelyn Ferguson, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Indianapolis, Ind. on Oct. 30, 2019. She was born on July 4, 1935 in Rock Island, Ill. to the late William and Mabel (Scarborough) Spaulding.

Evelyn worked as a sales associate in the garden department for Walmart in Plainfield, Ind. and later transferred to the Poplar Bluff location, where she retired after many years of service.

She is survived by her brother, Harry E. Spaulding; children, Rodney Ferguson (Julie), Diane Bennett (Chuck), Gene Perry Ferguson (Nancy); 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Gene Ferguson; daughter, Vickie; granddaughter, Krista and 10 siblings.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at White Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
